Hytika Simone Johnson Profile PhotoHytika (Tika) Simone Johnson (29), passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 6, 2023. A native of Columbus Ohio, Tika was born to Hyman Dixon and Tina Tucker on October 23, 1993.

Tika attended Columbus Public Schools and knew from an early age that she wanted to garner a career that involved fashion. In fact, she was in the process of launching her eCommerce store which was to include her unique fashion ideas that incorporated her love for all things sequin, chic, yet classy. Tika had a knack for DIY projects – anything arts and crafts related, you would definitely find Tika engrossed in her designing or making something. Tika’s passion didn’t stop there: she was one of the kindest people you’d ever meet and would do anything to help whoever she could, family and friends alike. But it didn’t stop there, Tika’s pride and joy was her family. She was a dedicated, devoted, and loyal wife and mother of four children, all born to the union of her and Marquan Johnson, who she became one with on March 3, 2017. Their bond was like that of best friends. The two enjoyed listening to many genres of music together, family time (especially at the beach), being in the Tennessee country, and had the goal of moving to Florida someday.

Tika leaves to cherish her life partner and husband of nine years, Marquan Johnson, four children, Jayden, Jaylen, Camille, and Cherish; mother: Tina (John Gaston) Tucker; father: Hyman (Tracey Lisath) Dixon; special aunt: Amy Dixon; brothers: Tim, Tyree, and Taquan Armistead, John Gaston, and Markel White; sisters Hydia and Te’Ronica Dixon, Tekeah Tucker, Teshauna Lisath, and Kindle Gaston, and a host of extended family and friends.

Although she will be greatly missed, God has given us the gift of memories as a means of solace and comfort when as we continue life’s journey without our dear Tika.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Miracle Temple of Deliverance, with two hours of visitation prior to service time. Pastor Jimmy W. Davis will be officiating. To follow, Tika will be laid to rest in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

The care of Mrs. Hytika Simone Johnson and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Williams Funeral Home.
