Hutson Parker Sr., 86, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at his residence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Chris Miller and Dexter Rutherford officiating. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery.
Born on August 1, 1938, to Arlie and Estelle Bradford Parker, Hutson was a member of Hatton Church of Christ. He was the Lawrence County Commissioner for two terms in the 90’s. He also enjoyed going hunting, and watching his football, baseball, and westerns. Above all Hutson enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his three children, Mike (Juanita) Parker, Melvin (Rhonda) Parker, and Jackie (Scott) Wilson; three grandchildren, Ashley Parker (Scott) Nix, Amanda Parker (Scott) Daniel, and Candace Parker; ten great-grandchildren, Ty Nix, John Parker Nix, Brodie Daniel, Arlie Daniel, Shane Terry, AJ Terry, Nash Scoggin, Chelsea (Troy) Green, Madison Wilson, and Tim Odell; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Hutson was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Parker; parents, Arlie and Estelle Parker; and one great-granddaughter, Madeline Rose Scoggin.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Borden, Jimmy Heaps, Roger Borden, Darrell Rutherford, Jonathan Thrasher, and Blake Addison.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. James Plaxco, Dewey Thrasher, Tim Pierce, Hutson Hatton, Rodney Hopkins, and Jeff Flanningan.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Robert Hall and Dr. Tracy Poole.
