HUNTSVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Huntsville man:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 7, has claimed the life of a Huntsville man.
Daniel A. Nelson, 61, was fatally injured when the 2016 Nissan Sentra that he was driving left the roadway, struck a mailbox and a culvert and then entered a pond. Nelson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near Charity Lane, approximately two miles south of Toney, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
