Hunter Blake Rogers, age 28, entered his heavenly home on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Born on December 31, 1995, in Jackson, TN, he was a kind and gentle soul who truly embodied the spirit of generosity, consistently willing to lend a helping hand to others.
Hunter is remembered for the gift of bringing a smile to everyone he met. Anyone could always count on receiving a good laugh from his quick wit and humor. He always gave a big “bear” hug upon greeting people he knew, and a firm handshake to those he just met.
Hunter had a career as a truck driver for Dot Foods in Dyersburg, TN. His work was matched only by passion for the great outdoors. He loved engaging in all outdoor activities, particularly hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, which brought him immense joy and a sense of freedom. Hunter was a member of Poplar Heights Baptist Church, Jackson.
Hunter is survived by his mother, Beverly Murley and her husband Phillip Sr.; his father, Harold W. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Susan; his beloved twin sons, Hayden and Mason Rogers; and a host of cherished family members, including his maternal grandparents, Don and Betty Layman; his great grandmother, Laverne Rogers; his great grandmother, Esther Murley; his uncle, Malcolm Rogers; his uncle, Jeff Layman; his step-sister, Elizabeth Waites; and his step-brother, Phillip “PJ” Murley, Jr.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold W. Rogers Sr. and Alma Rogers, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
SERVICES: A celebration of Hunter’s life will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Bro. Bob Layman officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Arrington Funeral Directors. The first visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a second visitation on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the service to follow.
Pallbearers will be Phillip “PJ” Murley, Jr., Seth Rohlwing, Tyler Rohlwing, Chris Miller, Ryder Longworth and Robbie Case.
The family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to the Charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Hunter B. Rogers.
Hunter Blake Rogers will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the loving impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
