Hugh Robert Griffin of Prospect, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Prospect, Tennessee on December 1st, 1942 and was 81 years old.
Hugh was a loving husband, son, and brother. He was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pulaski, Tennessee. He was a life-long resident of Prospect and was retired after 34 years at Monsanto (Solutia). Hugh enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and working on tractors, clocks, and tinkering with anything mechanical.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Gomillion and Bro. Jerry Yant officiating.
The burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery in Prospect, Tennessee.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Mavis Robinson Griffin. A special friend Kenny Hoback.

His wife of 56 years, Patsy Hogan Griffin of Prospect, Tennessee.
Sisters, Barbara (Dewayne) Allfrey of Athens, Alabama.
Judy Griffin of Huntsville, Alabama.
Mavis (Douglas) Stonecipher of Huntsville, Alabama.
Brother, Phillip (Elizabeth) Griffin of Athens, Alabama.
5 nieces and nephews along with 2 great-nieces and nephews.
Special friends, Kim, Ethan, and Taron Hoback and Olivia and Blake Williams.
