Hugh Howell “Happy Hal” Stinson, age 72, of Decatur, died Friday, August 20, 2021, at Madison Hospital. His family will host a private service at a later date. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Stinson was born June 19, 1949, in Hartselle to Calvin Stinson and Lillie Mae Robertson Stinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by one sister, Nancie Campbell of Decatur; one niece, Gina Doran (Woody) of Decatur; two great-nephews, Trent Doran (Ali) and Cole Doran, both of Decatur; and great-niece, Macon Doran of Decatur.
