Hugh Darryl Adams, age 82, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Friday, August 18th, 2023, at NHC Lewisburg.
He was born August 16th, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Loyd T. and Elnora Gardner Adams. He was an educator for 42 years, serving as principal of Connelly and Lewisburg Middle Schools, and as a Counselor in the Upward Bound Program for Martin Methodist. He was a member of the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Brenda Adams.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Ray Adams; three daughters; Adrienne Adams (Daniel) Shelton of Lewisburg, Megan (Brad Buchanan) Adams of Nashville, and Amanda Cashion (Mike) Moseley of Lewisburg; brothers, Jerry (Sherry) Adams of Lewisburg, Wayne Adams of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; sister, Dorothy Hoag of Nashville; grandchildren, Whitman Shelton, Olivia Shelton, Emmy Shelton, Lockelyn Shelton, Alison (Eric) Crabtree, Matthew (Taylor) Cashion, and Laura Beth (Allen) Guinn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at Mars Hill Cemetery with burial to follow.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, at 3:00 pm from the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church 325 W. Church St. Lewisburg, TN 37091.
Visitation with the family will begin at the church on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
