Hudson James Simmons, age 1 year and 11 months of Hoover, Alabama passed away on May 30, 2015. A celebration of Hudson’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3 at Church of the Highlands Chapel, 5910 Overton Rd. Birmingham, Alabama 35210.
Hudson will be laid to rest at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Born with a congenital heart defect that caused him to only have half a heart, Hudson was a miracle from the beginning. Hudson is survived by his parents Jamey & Brittain Simmons; grandparents Boise & MaeDean Simmons, Christie Orr, Vince Orr (Marie Françoise Pereira), Caroline Orr, Jason & Anna Simmons; and lots of loving family.
