Hubert E. Howard, 77, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020. Hubert was known as a quiet man who loved the Lord. He was a very kind man, always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Everyone knew they could go to him with anything life threw at them, and he would be there no matter what the circumstances. Apart from loving his kids, grandkids and great-grand kids, he had a well-known passion for fishing.
Visitation for Mr. Howard will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Rogersville Funeral Home from 11 -1 with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will be held in Grassy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mr. Howard’s grandsons.
Hubert is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ernisteen Howard; and brothers, Duel Gene Howard and Glendel Howard. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Howard; son, Barry (Sonya) Howard; daughters, Gina (Edwin) Weir, Karen (Clay) Vess, Tammi (Chip) Black; siblings, Lois Hinton, Elaine Pruitt Hardin, Morris Howard; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
