Howard Truman Rich was born on January 12, 1946, in Iron City, Tennessee, to the late Itlie Caroline Wilson and James Harden Rich. He departed this life on October 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. A devoted family man, Truman dedicated 40 years of his life working at Maury Manufacturing Company as a painter, where he was admired not only for his craftsmanship but also for his unwavering work ethic.
Truman had a deep passion for antique cars and trucks, often spending hours tinkering in hopes to complete the project. His love for these timeless machines was only rivaled by his delight in spending meaningful moments with his family. He valued the bonds they shared and took immense joy in celebrating life’s simple pleasures with them.
He is survived by his beloved children: Darlene (Daryl) Darnell, Faith (Kadyn) Rich, and son Scottie Rich; his brother Milton Rich and sister Ima Joyce Krivacka. His legacy continues through his 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy and laughter into his life. Truman cherished every moment spent with his family.
He is preceded in death by brothers Bernard, Paul, Mayford, Junior, Wesley, Hoyt, and Phillip Rich, and sister Ruth Holt.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday October 29, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood Tn.
A funeral service honoring his memory will take place on October 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Greg Eaton Officiating, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood Tn.
Burial will follow at Railroad Cemetery.
