Howard Olive, age 82, of St. Joseph, TN passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, a member and former song leader of St. Joseph Church of Christ where he loved to sing hymns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hunt and Lillie Creel Olive; and one son, Mike Olive.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mattie Jo Olive of St. Joseph, TN; one daughter, Missy Olive (Norman Schaaf) of Naples, FL; three sons, Matt Olive (Melissa) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Mark Olive (Christina) of Bell Buckle, TN, Mac Olive of Cape Coral, FL; one sister, Joyce Bewley of Kingston, TN; four step-daughters, Diane McKinney (Mike) of Loretto, TN, Deborah Lopp of St. Joseph, TN, Mary Kress (Charles) of Loretto, TN, and Cheryl Walker (Tommy) of Loretto, TN; three grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2023, with Larry Murdock and Wilburn Ray officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Joseph Church of Christ.
