Howard Bryson Dillard, 76, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home in Thaxton, MS. Bryson loved his family, especially his wife, Becky. He loved Christmas, his t-ballers, and his dogs, Harley and Charley. He never met a stranger; you knew when you walked in a room and heard his voice it was Bryson. Bryson was a United States Navy Veteran. He loved his caregiver, Marlene Erby, who took care of him till the end.
Survivors include his wife, Becky; his two sons, Greg Dillard and Eric Dillard; and his sister, Brenda Roye of Troy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard L. Dillard; his mother, Illene Bevil Dillard; his two brothers, Roger Frank and Curtis Bail Dillard; and his best friend, Alvis Erby.
Services will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 11AM at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Marcus Coward officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Carey Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Wayne Whitworth, Don Kenney, Ed McDonald, Jeff Gooch, Lane Jaggers, Michael Hunter, and Neal Bray.
