Funeral service for Horace Ray Simmons, 72, will be Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hal Daigre officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Simmons passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born July 15, 1951, in Morgan County, to Edwin Justin Simmons and Minnie Pearl Sparks Simmons.
He was employed by Cummins Auto Sales, doing Mechanic work and Auto Body work, prior to his retirement. He loved to fish and ride around with his wife. They enjoyed visiting different places. He loved his family especially his grandchildren, loved his friends and loved his Lord and had accepted Jesus into his heart.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas, James and Robert Simmons, three sisters: Hattie Mae Simmons, Lottie McCormick and Ruby Moore, and a grandson: Zachary Walls.
Family wishes to extend “Special Thanks” to the Nurses and Staff of Hospice of North Alabama for their wonderful care.
