Horace Otis Kimbrough – Obituary

HoraceHorace Otis Kimbrough, age 82 of Tuscumbia, died Monday, May 20, 2013. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Services will be Thursday, 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Tuscumbia with Dr. Randy E. Thompson officiating. He will lie in state from 12-1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

Horace was a native of Florence, served in the Army Signal Corps during the Korean War and was retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Tuscumbia where he served as deacon, treasurer, Sunday school superintendent, and most recently Elder Emeritus.

He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty one years and high school sweetheart, Joyce Rogers Kimbrough; sons, Randall Horace Kimbrough and wife Ruth, Mark Rogers Kimbrough and wife Robbie; daughter, Barbara Ann Wingard and husband, John; grandchildren, Caroline Kimbrough, Wendell Kimbrough and wife Hahna, Sarah Grissom and husband Austin, Rachel Biggs and husband Stephen, Jonathan Kimbrough, Benjamin Wingard, Megan Wingard and Joshua Wingard.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Covenant Christian School or a charity of your cholce.
