Homer Quitman Dickens

Homer Quitman Dickens (“Skip”) died Thursday, September 12, 2024 in Huntsville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Virginia Dickens, and his sister Martha Kidwell. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Dickens, his nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Skip was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and received a BS from Middle Tennessee State University in 1962. He later received a MS from Central Michigan University in 1988. He proudly served in the US Army as an Airborne Ranger Infantry Officer and as an Armor Officer in the Tennessee Army National Guard from 1962 until retirement in 1991.

A private family service will be held in Tennessee.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Magnolia Trace Retirement Community for their care and kindness.

They request that any donations be made to a charity of choice.
