Homer Lee Venable, 83, of Scottsboro, Al. lost his long battle with Parkinsons on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was a hardworking man that enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and being out in the country.
Homer was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw. He was survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth Shelton Venable; daughter, Elizabeth Venable Mullins (Aron); granddaughter, Heather Mullins Neeley (Reese); great grandson, Bentley Reese Neeley and sister Opal Venable Smith.
He was preceded in death by his son, Freddie Lee Venable; father, Joe Frank Venable and mother, Veda Manning Thompson and brother JB Venable.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Burial Will follow in Shelton Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama for the care they provided Homer in his final days.
