hccnwaTHE SHOALS-The Homeless Care Council of Northwest Alabama will conduct an annual homeless survey during a 24-hour period on January 30th – 31st, 2015. The survey, which is conducted in Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Marion, and Winston Counties, is a challenging task that requires volunteers from each of these areas.
The HCCNWA has coordinated the Point-in-Time count (PIT) in Northwest Alabama for the last five years. The Council is made up of local government and non-profit agencies, community PIT-image-text-with-house-purpleorganizations and faith based programs that take part in the nation’s Housing and Urban Development’s Continuum of Care Program for ending homelessness.
If you are a senior citizen with time to volunteer, a student, part of a local church or service organization, or just someone concerned about the homeless in our area, please volunteer your help with the PIT survey this year. You will not be asked to donate anything other than your time.
It is your chance to help your community help those in need.

For more information about how you can help or to sign up to volunteer,
please contact the HCCNWA by dialing 256-349-2946.

More information about the HCCNWA can be found at:www.facebook.com/HCCNWA.
