Holly Lisa Elmore, 63, of Decatur, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her residence. A Celebration of Life to honor Mrs. Elmore will be held at a later date and time.
Mrs. Elmore was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 18, 1962 to John and Hilda Bennett Masterson. She was later recognized as a Kentucky Colonel, which is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky. She became a Registered Nurse and worked in the medical field for 20+ years. Home Health was her passion and she enjoyed caring for the elderly. During her free time, some of Holly’s interests were racquetball, board games (especially Yahtzee), watching movies, and beach trips with her family and friends.
Mrs. Elmore was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her kindness and love will endure in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Mrs. Elmore was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hilda Masterson.
Mrs. Elmore is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jeff Elmore; son, Nick Elmore (Lyndsay); daughter, Holly Gertin (Matt); four grandchildren, Skye Gertin, Iris Gertin, Emilia Elmore, and Isabel Elmore; sister, Kara Haughtigan (John); a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
