Holly Corbitt – Obituary

Holly Corbitt, 62, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the North MS Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born December 19, 1953 in Honeoye Falls, NY, the daughter of Paul and Margaret Yorton. She grew up in New York and later moved to South Carolina where she raised her family. She proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. She had lived in Mantachie the past six years. Holly was a true artisan and loved working with her hands making jewelry, wood work, glass blowing and sewing. She was also a certified clown and was known as “Tiggles” in the clown ministry where she brought laughs and smiles to so many. An outdoors person, Holly also enjoyed fishing, growing flowers, and animals. She is survived by her husband, Henry Corbitt; 3 daughters, Misty Turner (Larkin), Melinda Johnson (Ben), and Teresa Kephart (Chris); 3 sisters, Catherine Fuget, Pam Heffernan, and Patricia Fillion; her brother, Ira Wagner; 6 grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, Lilianna, Caroline, Cloe, and Gabriella; and her beloved friend Sammy Desperado Baswell. A celebration of Holly’s life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Baswell officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
