Funeral service for Hollis F. James, 95, will be Friday, October 13, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paige Maxwell McRight officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, October 13, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Please respect family’s wishes of a private graveside in Jones Cemetery.
Mr. James died on Monday, October 9, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 14, 1928, in Morgan County, to Oliver Jewel James and Maggie Pearl Wilcutt James.
Mr. James was a Band Director, for Morgan County High School, prior to his retirement. He was a wonderful husband, fanther and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents. brothers: Bonnie James and Joel James and sisters: Rozell Osborne and Vonell Kleinschmidt.
