Hobart “Leon” Jones

Age 84 of Springfield passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at NHC in Springfield. He was born February 6, 1939 in Millersville, TN to Curtis and Hattie Pryor Jones. He was the owner/operator of Quality Tennessee Tree Service. Mr. Jones enjoyed farming, especially caring for his cows and his tractors. He loved spending time with his family, and he really enjoyed family get togethers. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Jones; daughter Pam Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Laura (Roger) Wood; grandson, Austin Wood, both of Springfield, TN; brothers, Bill (Faye) Jones, White House, TN and Fred (Debbie) Jones, Greenbrier, TN; sister, Betty Vaughn, El Paso, TX. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Mark Jones officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30pm in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Austin Wood, Isaiah Short, Jared Justice, Mason Belcher, Collin Belcher and Jacob Lawrence serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Jones, Fred Jones and Fred Jones, Jr. Visitation with the family is planned for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
