Hilda Josephine Hill, 86, of Moulton, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 5, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Gary Carter officiating. The eulogy will be given by Jack Spillers, Mickey Spillers and Wayne Spillers. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Born in the Mountain Springs community in Lawrence County, Jo was a member of Hillsboro Heights Church of Christ.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Hill; son, Larry Donald Hill; parents, Henry Jackson McDowell and Zora Lee Parker Spillers; sister, Maxine Spillers; brother, Henry Spillers; sisters-in-law, Mildred Spillers and Rachel Barclay; nieces, Maxine Hutchinson and Lois Terry; and nephews, Gale Spillers, Donald Terry, and Rob Hill.
Survivors include her brothers, Malcolm Spillers (Nell), of Decatur, Norman Spillers, of Florence; nephews, Jack Spillers (Frances), Mickey Spillers (Debra), Steve Spillers (Bonnie), Jeff Spillers (Sharon), Danny Spillers (Celeste), Wayne Spillers (Carol), and Billy Glenn Terry (Wyanell); nieces, Shelia Terry and Lisa Norwood; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
