Ms. Hilda Jereldine Fleming, age 80, of the Highland Community of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 under hospice care at her residence. Ms. Fleming was born December 29, 1942 in Marshall County, Alabama, daughter of Lester Russell Owens and Lois Catherine Whisenant Owens. Hilda retired from working as an accountant. She enjoyed working with her plants and doing yard work. She also enjoyed attending yard sales. Hilda was loyal to the dachshund breed of dogs. She had owned several throughout the years, the current one, a favorite, was Abbie.
Ms. Fleming is survived by a loving family which includes: brother, Roger Owens; sisters, Shelvia Jean Waters, Elaine Owens Green, and Yvonne Kelley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Owens and Lois Catherine Whisenant Owens; brothers, Emmett Van Owens and Gary Don Owens.
The family has elected cremation with no formal services.
