Hilda Faye Prince, age 73 of Manchester, passed away on April 18, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 13, 1951, in the Ross Community of Moore County, Tennessee to the late Sammy and Nell Crownover Kirk. Hilda had previously been employed by Hawkersmith Nursey. In her younger years she enjoyed going fishing and riding around with her husband. On rainy days you could find her watching her favorite movie the Coal Minors Daughter. Hilda treasured her time spent with her family and was of Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Kirk; son, John Prince; son-in-law, Danny Young; and sister-in-law, Clara Wilcox and Janie Gavin. Hilda is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, William Prince; children, Junior (Tammy) Wright, Shelia Young, Lee Roy (Valerie) Prince, Rosie (Sammy) Cheney; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild on the way. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Watson Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00pm from the Roy B. Watson Chapel at Watson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery with Alex Haney, Christian Phillips, John Armstead, Kason Wilhoit, Christopher Prince and Sammy Cheney all serving as pallbearers.
