Hilda Barnett Keeton of Florence, was born December 2, 1945, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024. Her service will be Monday, December 30, 2024, at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with Vaniece Parker officiating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, EV (Russ) Russell and Dell Polytinsky Russell; grandson, Nicholas Tackett, and son-in-law, Joey Holder.
Hilda retired from the City of Florence Utilities Department after many years of service. She brought laughter and fun wherever she was. Hilda was a dedicated volunteer for PAWS organization. She loved her dogs and her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine “Kathy” Davenport; sons, Robert Gene “Bobby” Tackett Jr. (Caroline Wilhite Jeaney), and Thomas Russell “Russ” Tackett; grandchildren, Justin Holder (Karly), Josh Holder (Rachel), Brandon Murray (Emmy), Landon Tackett, and Maci Tackett; great grandchildren, Lily Holder, Owen Holder, Ethan Murray, Braelee Murray, Tanner Murray, and Nora McCormick; brother, Tom Russell (Gerri); nephews, Tyler Russell (Susette), and Nathan Russell (Eliabeth); Special friend, Jimmy Hughes and several great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to your local animal shelter.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staff of Keller Landing for their love, support, care, dedication, and friendship shown to Hilda and her family during her stay.
