Hetty Marie Martin Roberts was born June 21, 1959 in Savannah, TN the daughter of the late Mahon and Mary Elizabeth Newborn Martin. She was united in marriage to Stanley E. Roberts on January 13, 1996. Hetty enjoyed spending time fishing with her husband and was a former Girl Scout Leader for many years with her beloved sister, Betty Ruth Martin. She worked for many years at Wayne Care and Waynesboro Health & Rehabilitation Center, where she was a Certified Nursing Assistant and she also worked at Angelica Manufacturing Company. Hetty departed this life on Saturday, March 4, 2023 in Waynesboro, TN at her home at the age of 63 years, 8 months, and 11 days.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley E. Roberts of Waynesboro, TN; son, Jason Lee Martin of Collinwood, TN; brothers, James Ellis Martin of Collinwood, TN, Robert E. Lee Martin of Collinwood, TN, and Tom Martin and wife Cecel of Collinwood, TN; sisters, Annie Lou Lineberry of Huntsville, AL, Mattie Frances Hickerson of Collinwood, TN, Mary Nettie Sanderson of Collinwood, TN, Mae Nell Daniel and husband J.C. of Iron City, TN, and Helen Daniel of Iron City, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Hetty was preceded in death by sister, Betty Ruth Martin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens of Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
