Hershel Ray Cantrell, age 70, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013.
Visitation will be today from 6-9 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with services to begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, in the chapel. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Wes Anderson is officiating.
He was preceded in death by his son, Hollis Eugene Cantrell; and honorary daughter, Delilah Michael Sims.
Survivors include his wife of 54 wonderful years, Maxine Cantrell;
daughter, Patricia Cantrell Walker;
son, Jimmy Cantrell;
honorary daughter, Carolyn Michael Collins;
grandchildren, Jessica and Steven Walker and Erika Cantrell;
companion and loving pet,; “Lady Bug”
host of loving nieces and nephews; and special niece, Elizabeth Ezekiel.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Cantrell was a member of The First Church of Nazarene in Muscle Shoals for many years.
