Funeral service for Hershel Harvey Pickens, 81, will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Pickens died on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at River City Center. He was born August 18, 1935, in Florida to Harvey Hershel Pickens and Mamie Christine McCall Pickens . He was a Grounds Supervisor for the Manatee County Parks and Recreation Department prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Ann Pickens Roskos, and a nephew: James Michael Baity.
