Hermond Gernest McBrayer, 82, Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 9, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 10 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Kenny Windsor officiating. Interment will be in Mitchell’s Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Hermond was a member of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ruby McBrayer; brothers, Johnny McBrayer, Albert McBrayer, and Luther McBrayer; granddaughter, Jessica D. McBrayer; brother, Odom McBrayer; and sisters-in-law, Ellion McBrayer and Flora McBrayer.
Hermond is survived by his wife, Carol McBrayer; children, Bobby McBrayer (Lori), Reba McBrayer, Ralph McBrayer (Kathy), Terry McBrayer, Debbie Palmore (Scott); Sandra Morison, and Chris McBrayer; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Hermond’s grandsons, Bobby Joe McBrayer, Billy Ray McBrayer, Mikey Landers-Glover; Tyler Landers, Hunter Poston, and Ryan Kennedy.
