Herman Roy Owens, 68 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Owens was born on August 23rd, 1955, to Harvey Lee and Millie Mae Thurman Owens.
Herman Roy Owens, 68 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Owens was born on August 23rd, 1955, to Harvey Lee and Millie Mae Thurman Owens.
Mr. Owens is survived by his daughter Kimberly Potter (Heath) of Meridianville; brothers William Owens, of Arab, and John Owens, of Atlanta; sister Becky Hayes, of Joppa; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Angela Sue Allen Owens; brothers Richard Owens and Raymond Owens; and sisters Jerrine Moss and Ruby Suggs.
A memorial service for Mr. Owens will be Monday, October 2nd, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00-2:00pm.
