Herman Ray Odom Herman Ray Odom passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 14, 1952, to his parents Eugene Emmitt Odom and Katie Chapman Odom.

Herman worked as a truck driver, he loved sharing stories about roads he built and places he went. He loved making people laugh. He was always joking around. He would give everyone a nickname, his nickname for his CB handle was “Diamond T”, He lovingly gained his own nickname “Hermie”. He loved his grandkids and really any kids at all.

He is survived by his loving wife Cathy Odom; his four children: Mickey Odom, Bethany (Brian Vandygriff) Green, Casey (Austin) Hedrick, Kayla (Allen) Hallmark; grandchildren: Nicholas (Shelby) Vandygriff, Breanna (Tyler) Boshers, Aliyah Green (Taylor) Randolph, Brylee Green, Allison Hedrick, Landon Gray, Mason Runions, Bryson Hedrick, Kaylen Runions; great-grandchildren: Grayson Boshers, Addilyn Randolph, Gannon Vandygriff, Emersynn Boshers, Haddison Vandygriff, and Laikyn Randolph.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Bobby Gene Odom, Neal Odom; sisters: Carolyn Massey, Pam Poston, Nancy Workman, Betty Reed; Mother-in-law: Willodyne Odom

The family will be receiving friends and family on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Service will follow with Jeff Smith officiating. Herman will be laid to rest at Freedom Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Vandygriff, Tyler Boshers, Taylor Randolph, Adam Laws, Noah Brown, Brandon Patterson.
Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all adopted family.
