Herman Junior “Slick” McGuire, 68, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at ECM Hospital.
Mr. McGuire was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Siloam Baptist Church, Russellville. He was retired from U.S. Reduction and the Northwest Alabama Livestock Yard.
The funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Officiating will be Roger Bonds and Kenneth Bonds. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 24, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Survivors include wife, Betty Sue McGuire; sons, Mike McGuire, Russellville, and Randy McGuire and wife, Michelle, Cullman; sister, Martha Murray, Russellville; brother, Odell McGuire, Russellville; grandchildren, Taylor McGuire, Lauren McGuire, Sam McGuire, Maggie McGuire, Cody McGuire, Ashley McGuire; great-granddaughter, Cecelia Grace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lorene McGuire.
Pinkard Funeral Home Russellville will be directing.
