Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Herman J. Robinson, age 77, of Murfreesboro, TN. Mr. Robinson passed from this life on May 7, 2021. He was born in the Beech Grove Community. Known as “Pops” to many, he was known for his loving and caring nature, his dedication to the Lord and for his many talents. He was a very gifted and skilled musician and vocalist. His great sense of humor caused everyone who met him, to love him. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Pentecostal’s of Smyrna. He leaves many fond memories for his family and friends. Those left to mourn his passing and cherish his memories are his daughters, Tammy Robinson, Tonya (Billy) Garrett; sons, Tim (Bonita) Robinson, Tony (Mary) Robinson, all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Chesney (Justin) Horton, Jessica (Marcus) Patterson, Carlee Robinson, Logan (Whitney) Robinson, Christopher Swader, Jamie Robinson, Cameron (Courtney) Simpson, Cody Davis; 15 great- grandchildren; sister, Linda Brown; brothers, Jerry (Frances) Robinson, Roger Robinson, Billy Robinson, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; special life-long friends, Velma and Lester Anderson. Mr. Robinson is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 51 years, Gail Robinson; granddaughter, Amanda Robinson Church; 1 sister; 3 brothers and 2nd wife, Karen Robinson. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 9, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. at the Pentecostal’s of Smyrna. Visitation will also be held on Monday between noon until time of service. The funeral service will be held at the church on Monday May 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna. Pallbearers will be served by family and friends.
