Mr. Herman “Fat” Fuqua Sr., passed away at his residence July 4, 2013.
Public viewing for Mr. Fuqua will be 1-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at Saints Funeral Home, Sheffield. Family hour will be 5-7 p.m., with Masonic ceremony at 6 p.m.
The funeral service will be noon Wednesday, July 10, at Goodsprings Cumberland Presbyterian Church, in Rogersville, Ala. His body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Herman (Linda) Fuqua Jr., Hardeevulle, S.C., Mr. Sherman Fuqua, Lownesboro, Ala.; three daughters, Ms. Jessie Fuqua, Rogersville, Ala., Mrs. Patricia (Andrew) Cole, Florence, Ala., Ms. Imogene Fuqua, Center Star, Ala.; one stepson, Mr. Thomas (Ellen) Fuqua, Buffalo, N.Y.; one stepdaughter, Ms. Lester Lee Fuqua, Rogersville, Ala.; two caring grandsons, Mr. Antonia (Phillippia) Fuqua, Madison, Ala., Mr. Stevenson (Vivian) Fuqua, Rogersville, Ala.; four brothers, Mr. James (Ellen) Fuqua, Mr. Wayne Fuqua, Mr. Hudson (Dorothy) Fuqua, all of Rogersville, Ala., and
Mr. A. Granderson Fuqua, of Buffalo N.Y.; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Watkins, Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. Margaret (Edward) Mangrum, Rogersville, Ala., Ms. Marveline Fuqua and Millie Murphy, of Buffalo, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
