Funeral services for Herbert Ray Kennedy, 82 of Corinth are set for Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST Chapel with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 12pm -2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST. Bro. Tim Edwards and Bro. Charlie Cooper will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Justin McLemore, Timmy McLemore, D.J. Wiley, Brad Parker, Bert Calvery and J. C. Hall. Born March 18, 1939 in Prentiss County, Herbert was a retired maintenance worker for Parker Hamilton. He was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Herbert was a 32nd degree Mason of the Corinth Lodge #116 and a Shriner . He loved being the driver of the Kid One car for the Shriners taking the kids to the Shriners Hospital. Herbert loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and going to antique car shows, fishing, taking trips with his church, going to Southern Gospel and Blue Grass music singings. Herbert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carmon M. Kennedy; sons, Jimmy Ray Kennedy and Charles Kennedy; daughter, Evelyn “Sissi” McLemore and husband Timmy; 8 grandchildren, Christy Oglesby, Tiffany Lindsey, Jenny Parker and husband Brad, Justin McLemore and wife Destin, Savannah Wiley and husband D.J. , Brent McLemore and wife Lindsey, Beth Lambert and husband Kyle and Evan Kennedy; 14 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Kennedy and wife Doris, Randell Kennedy, Jerry Kennedy; sister, Betty McCalla and husband Hershell; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harbert and Audrey Reece Kennedy; brothers, Vester Kennedy, Tim Kennedy, Mack Kennedy and Tommy Kennedy; sisters, Cordelia Taylor and Wanda Jean Southerner. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Herbert Ray Kennedy.
