Herbert Jordan Noland, affectionately known as “Pepsi” was born on June 30, 1951, in West Greene, AL to the late Herbert Jordan and the late Edna Noland Mobley.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in West Greene, AL.
Herbert attended Southeast Elementary School, Sterling High School and was a proud graduate of Sheffield High School in 1969.During elementary school he was given the nickname, “Pepsi” by one of his classmates. He moved to Detroit, MI and worked for General Motors for a number of years before returning to Sheffield.
Herbert moved to Huntsville, AL from Sheffield, AL and was employed by the D. G. Robinson Corporation for a number of years. He was later employed as an Inventory Specialist at Redstone Arsenal until he retired in 2009.
He departed this life peacefully at Inpatient Hospice Family Care Facility Huntsville, on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 9:10 a.m.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Jordan; mother, Edna Noland Mobley; brother, Curtis (Mary Elizabeth) Noland; nephew, Logan Amir Cole; niece, Angela Cole Haley; maternal grandparents, Eddie and Essie Mae Noland; special great aunts and uncles, Frank and Rachel Mobley, Lucille and Earl Jordan.
His memory will be cherished forever by: his sisters, Mary Alice Noland (John) Vickers of Huntsville, AL, Ginnevere Mobley of Sheffield, AL, Jacqualin Jordan, and Priscilla Jordan (Robert) Savage; brothers, Nathaniel (Katie) Jordan, Curtis (Stephanie) Jordan, Andrea (Shirley) Jordan, all of Detroit, MI; sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Noland of Huntsville, AL and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral Services for Mr. Herbert J. ” Pepsi” Noland, 73 of Huntsville, Alabama will be 11:00AM Saturday in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Kelsey Mobley officiating. Inhumation will follow in Calvary Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Mr. Noland passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care. There will be no public viewing.
