Herbert "Hub" Franklin Hardin Herbert “Hub” Franklin Hardin, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Herbert was born on December 23, 1935 to Walter Marion and Lavicia Pearl Hardin. Herbert is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Sue Hardin; daughters, Cynthia Gail, Vivian Marie and Clara Christine and brother, James Homer Harding.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Marion Hardin (Donna), Terry Lydelle Hardin (Pat), Roland Terrence Molenaar (Ashley); daughter, Phyllis Lynn Poe (Tommy McAlpin); sister, Buelah Pearl Brazelton; brothers, Howard Harding, Almon Ray Hardin, Marion Barney Harding; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was affectionately known as “PawPaw” to his precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Herbert will forever be remembered by family and friends as a devout Christian, servant of God, and for his unwavering devotion and love for his family. He’ll also be remembered as a hard worker, diehard Alabama fan (RTR), fisherman, hunter, gardener and bassist singer of southern gospel music.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Avenue). The funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Gold Cemetery in Letcher, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 801 Clinton Avenue, Huntsville, AL 35801 or Clearview Cancer Institute, 3601 CCI Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35805.
