Herbie BunchThe faith of Herbert Dale Bunch “Herbie”, age 72, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, became sight on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock am, Monday, September 9th, at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Joelton with Bro. Barry Simpson and Bro. Corey Minter officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery with Carter Bunch, Harris Bunch, Eric Read, Matthew Shannon, Bryan Butler, Dustin Waller, Dannin Waller, and Robert Newland serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Sunday, September 8th from 2:00-6:00PM, and again on Monday at the church beginning at 9:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.

Herbie was born on June 24, 1952, in Springfield, Missouri, to the late Herbert Bunch & Wanda Peterson Lofton. He was retired from Stratus Boat Manufacturing as a boat builder. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Herbie was an avid hunter who enjoyed working in the yard, getting a good deal, carpentry, and building with his hands. He became a Christian on February 14, 1999 and previously served as a trustee at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church where he was a member.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Marquis Pittenger.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Jean “Pete” Bunch; son, Christopher (Heather) Bunch; Mallory (Craig) Beecher; sisters, Nola (Martin) Jennen and Karen (Danny) Waller; and grandchildren, Carter Bunch, Harris Bunch, Sadie Beecher, Lydia Beecher, and Hal Bunch.
