Henry Leonard Schwan III, 78 of Athens, passed away on Saturday, November 27th, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Schwan was born on January 29th, 1943, to Henry L. Schwan Jr. and Margie Schwan.
Mr. Schwan is survived by his wife Laverne Schwan; sons Henry Schwan IV (Gwen), Christian Schwan (Becky), and Robert Lee Schwan (Katheryn); grandchildren Brittney Morgan Schwan, Kole Birdsong, Gunner Birdsong, Bryce Schwan, and Dane Schwan; great-grandchild Anastazia Grace Brooks.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Mr. Schwan will be Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Sammy Davis Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00-2:00pm at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
Private family burial to be held at a later date.
