Henry Dwain Bryd of Hamilton, Alabama entered his heavenly home on Sunday, June 16, 2024, surrounded by his family and loved ones, Dwain, born on May 17, 1938, was the son of John Henry and (Era Carter) Byrd.
Dwain is survived by his wife, Willie Jay (Sis) Childers Byrd. Two sons, Roger Dwain (Heidi Distor) Byrd, Karl Edwin (Gigi Sutton) Byrd. One daughter, Lisa Lynette (Byrd) Jackson, (Tom Jackson). Nine grandchildren, Joey Byrd, Candace Byrd Boyd (Drew Boyd), Harlene Byrd, Raben Byrd, Alisa Byrd, Nicholas Jackson (Haley Bell Jackson), Kendra Jackson Reese (Cullan Reese), Olivia Byrd Moore (Lance Moore), Trevor Byrd (Lauren Stevens Byrd). Eleven great grandchildren; a host nieces, nephews and friends.
Dwain was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Byrd and Era Carter Byrd; Two brothers, Eugene (Gene) Byrd and Johnny Paul Byrd. Two sisters, Lenona (Tootsie) Byrd Taylor and Mary Nell Byrd Bailey.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Happy Hill Church. The service will follow at 2 pm at Happy Hill Church with Bro. Patrick Sutton officiating. The burial will be at Happy Hill Cemetery.
