Mr. Henry Clifton Frame, age 88, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Friday evening, December 12, 2014 in Franklin, Tennessee. Mr. Frame was born in Moore County, Tennessee and was a son of the late Charlie Clifford and Etta Mae Smith Frame. He was a veteran, having served in the Third Army, 42nd Rainbow Division, C Company, serving under General George Patton. Mr. Frame was one of the liberators of the Dachau Concentration Camp, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a driver in the Red Ball Express during his time in service. Following service, Mr. Frame worked for United Telephone Company of Chapel Hill where he retired after 43 ½ years as a lineman. During his time in Chapel Hill he served as an Alderman for the Town of Chapel Hill and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, Mr. Frame was preceded in death by his wife, Ocie Lee Patterson Frame who died earlier this year.
Mr. Frame is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Rick) McDonald, Chapel Hill, TN; son, Michael Clifton (Beverly) Frame, Wartrace, TN; sister, Elaine Pruitt, Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Christopher Frame, Tiffany Frame Collins, Cyndal Frame Adams, Michelle Lee Chumbley, Monica Patin, Crystal Williams; 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Golden officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
