Henry Anderson Thomas, Jr., formerly of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the age of 88. His visitation will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 12 pm – 1 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brian Holden officiating. He will be buried in Glendale Cemetery.
Henry was a member of the 20th Avenue Church of God in Vero Beach, FL. He attended The Rock Family Worship in St. Florian, AL until his health prohibited his attendance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Odom Thomas and his son, James Wendell Thomas.
He is survived by his sister, Vera Weeks (L.E.), Thomasville, GA; son, Henry D. Thomas (Kathy) Mobile, AL; daughters, Barbara Cooper Thomas, Vero Beach, FL, Melody Thomas Franklin (Monty), Killen, AL; grandchildren, Sarah Smith (Brian), Vero Beach, FL, Matthew Thomas (Katie) Mobile, AL, Lilianna Thomas, Vero Beach, FL; and great-grandchildren, Rosalee, Reed and Erin Smith of Vero Beach, FL.
Henry loved life and wanted to share it with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing stories and fish. Pa loved his family! He will be greatly missed!
