Funeral service for Henry Alexander Rikard, age 85, of Trinity, will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Rikard, Jr. officiating. Mr. Rikard, who died Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born February 10, 1938, in Alabama to James Otis Rikard and Beulah Williams Rikard. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hubert Rikard and Melvin Rikard; one sister, Florine Boshers; and one grandchild, Brentley Kilpatric. Mr. Rikard was saved by the grace of God and served as an active member of Hillsboro Baptist Church for many years. He retired from 3M and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and friends, fishing, and basking in the great outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stella (Sherrill) Rikard; two sons, Jason H. Rikard (Amanda) and Brad A. Rikard (Michelle); one stepson, Lonnie Kilpatric; three brothers, Clayton Rikard, Hollis Rikard, and Freeman Rikard; one sister, Lois Archer; and seven grandchildren, Chloe Rikard, Kamryn Parker, Alexa Rikard, Brennon Rikard, Mason Mitchell, Amie Hamilton, and Loni Anne Kilpatric.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Rikard, Freeman Rikard, Jr., Myles Sherrill, Eric Sherrill, Brennon Rikard, and Mason Mitchell.
