Helen Tyler Phillips was born on April 8, 1919 in Sardis TN, the daughter of the late Ellis and Flora Wade Stanfill. She was united in marriage to Harold Tyler in January of 1935, who preceded her in death on October 30, 1986. In December of 1988, she was united in marriage to Troy Phillips, who also preceded her in death on September 2, 2006.
Helen worked for Garan Manufacturing Company for 35 years as a seamstress. She was a member of Crump Pentecostal Church in Crump, TN. She loved to garden, can food, raise flowers, quilt, and cook. She loved her family very much.
Mrs. Phillips departed this life on May 14, 2015 in Savannah, TN at the age of 96 years, 1 month, and 6 days.
She is survived by her 4 children, Shirley Frances Wilkinson of Adamsville, TN, Barbara Ann Phillips of Adamsville, TN, Charlotte Tyler Tidwell of New Johnsonville, TN, and Harold Dwight Tyler of Adamsville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Tommy Wilkins, Sonia Shemport, Todd Tyler, Craig Tyler, John Tidwell Jr., and Nikki Tidwell; 5 great-grandchildren, Casey Cromwell, Lauren Tyler, Logan Tyler, Trey Tidwell, and Cassie Tidwell; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Marleigh Umphrey; and 1 uncle, Albert Wade of Sardis, TN.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters.
