Ms. Helen R. Hendricks, age 84, died peacefully August 9, 2023 at Diversicare of Tupelo following an extended illness. She was born November 8, 1938 in Germany to Boland O. Benedum and Margaret L. Benadum. Helen was a high school graduate living her childhood in Germany before moving to Wellsburg, WV in 1967. Shortly after moving to the United States, she and her husband moved to Lansing, Michigan where she lived until 1977, moving to Fulton, Mississippi, where she lived until her health began to fail. She had a “larger than life” personality. Helen was employed in the restaurant industry for most of her adult life and greatly enjoyed playing bingo.
Helen is survived by her son Ernie Simmons of Tupelo and his four daughters. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
