Helen Osbourn Ashley, 88, of Fort Payne, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was born October 22, 1934 to the late Thurman Winfred Osbourn and Thelma Bohannon Crow. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Will Ramage officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanie Ferrell and husband Lynnwood; grandchildren Ashley Jones and husband Zach and Jonathan Whitmire and wife Cera; great-grandchildren Braylon Whitmire, Ryder Dunkum, Bee Dunkum, Zayne Rodriguez and Silas Rodriguez; half-brother Ronnie Crow; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Ashley, son James “Jim”Ashley, and brother Charles Osbourn.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
