She earned numerous advanced critical care certifications, serving her community as a nurse for 42 years. After retiring, she enjoyed long walks around her neighborhood, collecting antiques, caring for her yard, watching college and Titans football with her son, attending her grandchildren’s numerous activities, and feeding the many birds, squirrels, and cats that came by to visit.

She also leaves behind special friends Agnes Duke, Anne Nichols, Billie Heck, Pam Youngblood, and Patti Hawkins.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Nichols, Will Nichols, Jerry Henson, Zain Hashmi, Mike Hunt, Cody Matthews, and Calum Morgan, along with honorary pallbearer David Henson.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Kym Hill of Columbia, and the other nurses and staff of Alive Hospice for their wonderful care of Helen.
