Helen Maverine Kennedy was born July 12, 1926 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Oliver Huse and Myrtle C. Coleman Moore.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Grady Kennedy in the fall of 1941. Mr. Kennedy preceded her in death on October 8, 1997.
Mrs. Kennedy along with her husband owned and operated Kennedy’s Upholstery and Antiques for over 50 years. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her flowers, and listening to gospel music. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Kennedy departed this life on March 28, 2016 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 8 Months, 16 Days. She is survived by a son, Oliver Kendal Kennedy and wife Sandra of Hot Springs National Park, AR; three daughters, Loretta Gale Reese and husband Jack of Martin, TN, Brenda Kay Dickey and husband Stanley of Selmer, TN, Sherry Lynn Droke and husband Steve of Selmer, TN; 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by an infant son; four brothers and four sisters.
