Heaven gained an Angel, Helen Maria McElroy Kelly Stanford, on March 1st, 2024, at her home in Minor Hill, Tennessee surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jackie and Jewel Andrews of Texas. Her parents Joyce Lea Andrews Hensley and William John Jackson McElroy. Grandson Joshua Shane Kelly along with her sisters Betty Peebles and Jackie Long.
Born July 18th, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas, Helen was a Christian that loved gospel and old country music. She loved her family and friends that were like family. Spending time at the beach with her running partners Jinnifer and Chelsey, she loved traveling to visit friends like Barbara and Dubby Duke. Helen was a very proud Nana to her 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She loved her flowers and Christ. She always used her favorite saying “It is what it is”.
A private family service will be held.

She is survived by, her husband of 28 years Dennis Stanford, and her children, Robert Wayne Kelly of Goodspring, Tennessee. Diana and George Steelman of Pulaski, Tennessee. Jinnifer Rich and Jim of Minor Hill, Tennessee. Deanna Morgan and JB of Alabama. Kevin Stanford and Faye of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Scott and Meagan Stanford of Washington State, and Adam Stanford and Taylor of Scottsboro, Alabama. Sisters, Denny Centre and Don of Gordonville, Texas and Jean Martin and Joe of Fort Worth, Texas. Sisters-in-law, Pat Kelly and Sylvia Ward and Lyn. Brother-in-law, Calvin, Alvin and Davey Stanford of Alabama. Special friends Barbara and Dubby Duke.
