Helen Jane Ramsden Peck – Obituary

Funeral service for Helen Jane Ramsden Peck, 81, will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherry Harris and Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Graveside service and interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham at 1:30PM. Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Peck died on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Riverside Senior Living. She was born Sunday, July 12, 1931, in Walker County to Harold Shae “Pete” Ramsden and Wrennetta Arimza (Lowery) Ramsden . She was very active in the United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School and being part of the United Methodist Women’s Organizations. She was a member of the Sumitan UMC, Jonesboro UMC, and presently a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a former member and secretary of the Jonesboro Civitan Auxillary and former member of the Civitan Auxiliary in Decatur and a member of UMW. She was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands: Lemma & Jim Baird and Ann & Gresham Kemp.

Survivors include: her Husband of 61 Years, James B. Peck, Sr.

Two Sons: James B. Peck, Jr. (Sherry), Decatur, AL and Stephen Alan Peck (Nikita), Tony, AL

One Daughter: Donna Peck, Decatur, AL

 

Pallbearers will be Brad Peck, Nick Peck, Braxton Peck, Jarrod Alldredge, Dennis Kemp, Ed Baird, and Randy Cavner.
